Appointments

calendarAppointments can be made either in person at the reception desk or by calling 0141 339 2960 during office hours. Appointments will be made with your own doctor whenever possible.  Urgent appointments will be offered at the earliest possible time.

Standard appointments are for a maximum of 10 minutes. Please let the receptionist know if you require a double appointment. Medicals or longer appointments are by special arrangement.

Please note, an appointment is for one person only.

Face to face appointments are available at the surgery with GPs and nurses and are bookable up to 2 weeks in advance.

Please note that if you arrive after the duration of your appointment you will be asked to re-book another appointment.

Telephone consultations are available if you wish to speak to the GP on the telephone. Telephone appointments are bookable on the day only so please call as early as possible to arrange these. The GP will attempt to call a maximum of three times. If three attempts are made and there is no answer the GP will not try to call again and another appointment will need to be made.

Extended Hours

We have an extended surgery on a Monday evening from 17:30 to 18:30 for appointments only with the exception of public holidays.

Interpreter Services

This is available through Primary Care.  Please inform our receptionist if this service is required when you arrange your appointment.

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many conditions and you may be seen more quickly.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

Missed Appointments

If two appointments are missed at the surgery you will be sent a letter to bring this matter to your attention and to make you aware that if any more appointments are missed in the following 6 months we will have no alternative but to remove you from our practice list.
